grow up.
so today's career fair turned out to be quite interesting. I was looking forward to acting really warm and friendly and big sister-like to the students and I doubt I was successful. but anyway. met some old friends who are graduating from Poly who thought I was the ambassador for NTU and I went no! no! because it's such a cheesy thing to be. I was sitting next to one of the Art, Design and Media professors and he's German so most of the time he was telling me about Germany and how parties in Singapore are lame cos 'they end at 10pm.' what was I suppose to say? at 10pm on any weeknight I am at my hostel reading and writing, so I just nodded and looked at him earnestly.
then Fahi came and saved the day. we spent most of the time talking about so-and-so and drew faces on the school brochures, because we were hurt and sour when they didn't want the pictures we submitted. anyway had dinner with her and wanted to buy some clothes but I stopped myself because I now have the will and determination to go anti-shopping. support the anti-shopping movement!
looking back, I realise I had spent a good 15 minutes talking to 2 professors about mosquitoes in NTU at the career fair. I sense my social life scaling down one or two notches due to that. first we talked about mosquitoes, then we moved to the topic of should one wear a tie in Singapore? why is that we can wear flip-flops and shorts to the movies? overall though, it was a good experience, wierd conversations with eccentric foreign professors and all.
p.s: because I will not tolerate anonymous people who use my friend's names and say rubbish here, I've removed the tagboard. oh might as well. no one was using it anyway.
p.p.s: it's the 21st Century. maybe people should come up with something more original?
