driving slow on Sunday morning
before Monday starts I just need to gather myself and prepare for the arduous week ahead of me. I have 3 projects and 2 tests to complete, and 1 interview that needs to be done. I have time, I know I do. not much, but enough to finish what I need to, catch a breather for a few seconds before continuing again. see? I'm at a Happy Place, I'm making myself think Happy Thoughts. there is always time, there is always time.
yesterday after studying at Starbucks Rizan and I met Amri and my sister at Geylang where we had beautiful bitter-sweet durians. the Singapore culture is so simple; all you need for a good social gathering is food, a table, some chairs and awesome company. never mind that we were at the heart of the red-light district. prostitutes and sex-starved men need to eat too, right? we merely took advantage of what was already available. last year our Saturday late-night ritual was to play boardgames. this year we plan to go all around Singapore to taste the best food. so it's really no surprise that after durian last night, we went to Jalan Kayu for prata. and then, like every other Saturday, we sent Rizan home, then Amri sent my sister and I home, and I fall asleep without washing off my makeup. come come! come and join me in my precious beauty regime. if you don't look good, at least you'll feel good.
