a slight of hand, a twist of fate.
okay, so I lied when I said I was sick of blogging. sometimes I feel like sharing, ya know?
yesterday I spent a few hours at Starbucks trying to finish my editing. some reviews were very disppointing and I sat there all alone wanting to tear my hair out. which was quite a hassle since my hair is too short to be pulled. which made me more agitated. so I ended up drinking lots of raspberry cream, and got too distracted to finish up my muffin. and since I was alone I couldn't even take a toilet break because I had a good seat and if I were to leave the table my laptop will get stolen. so I sat there for a good 4 hours crossing my legs with a desperate look on my face- from all the editing and the not-peeing. what is this man. our first issue and I'm doing shit.
today we were at the newsroom with everyone frantically trying to finish up. printing is in a few days time and I just realised I'm the only Year 1 editor. maybe I got into this too early. but the team looks really promising and I can't wait to see the first issue next week. am trying to get the hang of things; maybe in the next month we'll all be a little bit better. this is a newspaper run by students! please be kind.
tomorrow it's back to the cold cold newsroom with me trying to be as comfortable as I can sitting among a group of people who Know What To Do.
ending this on a very air-headed note, I bought my wedges today and they're hot as hell! I bet if I tried, I can do sprints in them (the question would be am I able to sprint per se in the first place.)
