be careful while in school- you might end up learning something.
yesterday was my first Imagining Singapore class, an elective I ended up taking with Rizan. he seemed panicky initially, after realising there may be some literature work in store for him. but I made him and Qairul stay so all is good- my group for any form of groupwork in the future has been confirmed. after 2 hours the boys got restless- one doodled on his paper, another one took his pulse (doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which weirdo did what)(Rizan took his pulse!!!) I was momentarily amused, then decided I better help the boys in this class because I need company and they, well, obviously need to find better things to do.
today Sally wore her vintage tee which made me want to wear mine tomorrow, and then in the middle of our discussion Nab says she might want to find her own cool tee to wear, complete with a cool phrase that will leave people staring at your body everytime you pass (I get kicks from that). she suggested putting 'I'm Moderate' on her imaginary top, which somehow got me telling her to print instead these words on her chest (since we're on the topic of terrorism): "
These are not bombs."
my friends ended up laughing hysterically in class when I said it out loud. I come up with silly ideas in my head all the time. to be honest, if my suggestion ever comes through, I think the phrase on mine will be an edited, more honest version: "
These are not bombs grenades." Geddit, geddit??
sigh. what? I think it's pretty funny. I don't see why I can't make fun of my own mosquito bites.
tomorrow I have to introduce myself in class which freaks me out because I hate, hate the way I pronounce my own name. that's just it. apart from that I like talking in front of people. when I say this to Rizan he gives a knowing smile and says of course, which makes me want to COCOK him. tomorrow we get to talk about our favourite tv programs! and beauty products!
I bet the gahmen doesn't know exactly what happens in our school.
