carry on, carry on
yesterday after packing up my things (not before bumping into a half-naked Malay boy at the corridor, that is. oh thank God I haven't been able to fast these days), I met up with Rizan to join my family for dinner at Banquet. I don't understand why I haven't had an appetite to eat these days. perhaps subconsciously I'm trying to prepare my body for the tight kebaya I see myself buying sometime next week. oh the things we do for vanity.
anyway after dinner we picked Amri up from some sidewalk along Arab St, and the 6 of us drove to Geylang. my brother and Tricia couldn't make it because they were lazy I think. but that's just me being presumptuous. as usual Geylang was packed, and I've decided I like having the boys come along because they get to entertain each other while my sister and I shop for things. it is very amusing to see them standing awkwardly outside every shop, waiting for us to be done. one time Rizan and Amri entered this particular shop with us, and then some Makcik from nowhere exclaimed 'budak laki tak payah masuk ni ade baju pompuan ade!' and everyone laughed. hmm for someone old she certainly had a lot to say. what a feisty, wrinkly little person she was. and of course the boys felt mortified and quickly made their way out, heads looking down.
I heard VivoCity opens today and I want to go cos the cinemas are huugee! and you know how anal I am about movie theatres. I hate bad seats, having nothing to eat, and obnoxious Other People (because it's never my fault; it's always theirs). but I have tons of work to be done by this weekend so I guess I'll have to leave my fun for another day. I can't believe I'm making sacrifices. I think I'm almost an adult now.
ah. must go and get ready to study in school again, cos it's the only place with free wireless connection, power sockets and empty benches. which makes you wonder why I never stayed overnight in school last night. bodoh nye budak.
