here's a summary of something you could smile about.
to carry on the tradition of visiting very random places in Singapore in order to date my boyfriend, we made a trip to Ubin for the second time yesterday. as usual I had alot of fun, more fun than I had the first time because it wasn't raining. not surprised that my boyfriend decided to cycle on roads less traveled again, even though he knows I'm never a happy camper when we're not cycling on actual roads that are clearly mapped. my bag of chuckles was thrown away when we had to pass a cemetery WHERE HE LEFT ME ALL ALONE and headed on first. then he left me again along a very long and never-ending stretch that almost left me in tears. it was so dramatic and I wanted to pretend I'd gone missing, but you kind of forget to be mad at the boy when you see the worried look on his face.
you know how normal people are afraid of getting lost in the jungle? yes well I'm one of them. we even saw wild boars- okay he saw wild boars (mother and three little pigs, how cute!) while I was too busy scrambling around on my bike saying things like ohmygodohmygod wildboarsquickcyclethey'regonnaeatus OHMYGOD!
I realise maybe I'm not an outdoors person after all. hmmm.
but don't get me wrong. I love anything out of the ordinary and dates with him are always great. yet each time Rizan whizzes past me on his bike I always wonder how someone so hot can be so mindless to want to cycle without using his hands. he never listens to me. so yesterday I also realised you can never change a man (check out the other entry about our first trip to Ubin).
anyway after he discovered I wasn't actually 'missing', he tried cheering me up by promising some good ice-cream when we get to the main land (haha how kampung did that sound). so yes he kept his promise and treated me to McFlurry. then I fell in love with him again. realisation No 3: Fariza is simple-minded and easily pleased. therefore should he decide to propose to me someday I suppose I'll be getting a cheeseburger meal (upgraded version of the McFlurry) instead of a diamond ring. hehe I'm not complaining though.
oh and I don't know how you'd receive this bit of news but I hope you understand why I'm extremely pissed right now- some friends and I aren't going to camp next week because apparently they couldn't cater Muslim food. we just found out tonight. there were alot more things that I found out, and I can only say one thing- this is not the last the student union will be hearing from me. I am not in CS for nothing.
