only because I like being a frenzied bitch high from planning.
I know, I know- we're living in the tropics, Singapore is forever hot and for those of you who say we experience more than one season here, 'rainy' and 'sunny' do NOT count. I bet each time a Singaporean mentions in glee the two seasons above, some audacious Brit or American is probably laughing at us for being so effing silly.
but screw them, cos Summer's really here!
I can't wait for June's arrival. I am all set to leave [oh fine, quit] this job and scream in triumphant joy, for there is nothing better in store for me than two months of fresh sunny weather, where I have vowed to do nothing but piss my time away.
there are books to read, movies to watch [say Blockbusters with me please!] and numerous, countless activities to indulge in. oh the joy. I think I am hypervantilating.
Books I Should Read Else It Won't Feel Like Summer- Catcher in the Rye: JD Salinger (you have to read something like this once in your lifetime)
- The Alchemist: Paulo Coelho (I have the book but saved it for June to read ha ha isn't this obsessive planning.)
- The Historian: Elizabeth Kostova (I trust Nuu's taste)
- Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing: Judy Blume (because it's a charming story for all ages.)
Movies I Should Watch Else It Won't Feel Like Summer- X-Men!! (if anybody asks, the answer is Rogue. Jean Grey is too fragile to ever be an X-Woman, and Storm has funny hair.)
- The Omen (did you see the trailer? it sucked me right in!)
- Just My Luck (what, corny movies are sometimes okay. besides, I think Lohan's hot)
- Thank You For Smoking (cos the title's just clever)
- IT (re-visiting my childhood horrors, though I'm not sure why)
- Le Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain (Amelie)
in two weeks' time, everything will be rosy again. and for those of you who aren't feeling too good about yourselves now, just remember; don't think of yourself as an ugly person, just a beautiful monkey.
