for fun's sake.
what an incredibly long, strange and tiring day. yesterday was just as strange, with me mistaking Cathay Cineleisure for Cathay Picturehouse, and I bet I'll remain the butt of many jokes from now on. my best friend will never let me hear the end of this. not even the macaroons I presented to her as a peace offering can change her mind (because Syarif and Nora had to wait for us for 20 min while Mat and I rushed to get a cab to the correct cinema. we've decided it takes skills to run with nachos in our hands.) Mat isn't of much help- I could tell from the way he was chuckling so gleefully while I received an earful from Nora yesterday. sigh. the things I do for love, for the both of you.
after that we managed to convince Ye Olde Couple to follow us to Geylang: the Dirty Streets, using 'to eat tau huay' as an excuse. (it is obvious a moron like me will
only be there to gawk at prostitues, but if I have to use beancurd as an alibi, then by all means.) well from the looks on their faces, Mat and I concluded our friends left feeling satisfied.
as a treat, or maybe to make theirs a grander departure, when we were walking out of Geylang we saw a man pushing another man down the road, then went on to kicking him in the balls. I wanted to say WAH LOOK AT THAT but the wise 19 year old lady in me just quietly tugged at my boyfriend and urged him to hurry on walking. or I wouldn't be alive to type this down today.
haha what a dramatic ending.
