a view from my afternoon.
how nicely and quickly things are starting to fall into place. the 2-hour lunch with my cousin was what I needed today. I love sitting down talking with her, because she is frank and bold and one of the strongest women I've ever known. people who are driven and independent always get my vote. babe I have a feeling you'll go far. when I am 78 and you are 77, even if I am plagued with dementia I assure you I'll still remember the nights I slept over at your old house with the scary dragon-playground, how we always ended up being the 'anak keladi' during games for awfully immature reasons, how we ended up taking different routes in life but managed to keep this relationship strong anyway.
and I found out I got a new job today. =] will be starting next week, which was exactly what I'd planned and had no idea it would come true. which is partly why I'm madly meeting up with people for lunch/dinner over the next few days. the plan was to start being a responsible adult once I've turned 19 you see. and between April to August, I'm sure that gives me enough time to be sensibly saving up again.
speaking of saving up, I haven't done it at all the last 2 months. I went shopping with Al yesterday, and woman can you please tell me why we're always buying the same clothes? now we'll have to check with each other what we're wearing whenever we want to meet up. and that applies to Khairi too. and Eka I suppose, haha. I bought new sandals from Topshop (which were a
steal at $40) and even though it was completely spontaneous, as all my purchases are, I'm extremely pleased with myself. because they're mighty hot.
tomorrow I'm lunching with Sofi, and Thursday is Sherman Day. speaking of that boy I better ask if he's quit his job yet. no job=lunch with Fariza= a very good time.
