family drama
okay so. I'd like to shamefully admit my cousins and I went shopping yesterday. initially I was thinking of having lunch first and then meet a friend to study, but Birthday Girl was already dreaming about heading to town and sooo we went. AND I HAD NO REGRETS.
you know, the last time the three of us met up [apart from Hari Raya] was 2 years ago, when I was preparing for my O Levels. [at this point I've just realised I'm always meeting people on periods when I'm the only one sitting for major examinations. it's my fault really.] anyway we had a long lunch, lamenting over broken hearts [theirs] and the pain derived from hunger [mine.] I had to make a grand entrance by knocking over my own fork and spoon with my large clumsy hands, so the nice sweet guy came over and brought new ones.
after all that we did yesterday [cousins, only we will know] I came home feeling absolutely satisfied. I even have a picture to prove it!
we are happy, shiny people =]
oh and here's a Fun Fact for you. Mum just changed my bedroom curtains, and almost everyone in the family can agree they are very, very fugly. [note: fucking ugly] even my cousin who came over a few weeks ago admits, though she was kind enough to wait for us to criticise before saying our curtains were horrendously obiang. [no I do not have a picture to prove this.] the consolation would be that Mum says they're temporary, but this works only if she doesn't mean as temporary as my pimples, which've been on my face for the last 6 years.
I hope by Hari Raya my mother will be kind enough to replace those white curtains with awkward splashes of weird-looking COLOURFUL flowers, with something else.
